Legal stuff you should know:

  • I, Emily Otterman, legally own and reserve all rights to my intellectual property, including those works either in process to be registered, or not yet registered, with the U.S. Copyright Office

  • It’s a violation of U.S. and International Copyright Law to reproduce, or copy, my (Emily Otterman’s) images, writings, or trademarks. If you purchase or own a print or an original work of art, you purchase or own just that. You don’t own the license to the work, and you don’t have the right to reproduce, or copy, my intellectual property in any way. (Kind of like when you buy a book, you buy the book, not the rights to reproduce it or copy the words from it)

  • I, Emily Otterman, don’t offer licensing to reproduce my artwork, electronically or otherwise

  • Federal and International Copyright Laws strictly prohibit reproduction, of any kind, without prior written authorization. It’s illegal to print or electronically copy any image or text from my website, emilyotterman.com, or from any other digital media or print source.

  • You’d never do any of this, but someone else might… so, if you reproduce my (Emily Otterman’s) intellectual property without my direct written consent, you’re guilty of copyright infringement, a violation of U.S. and International Copyright Law

  • And last but not least, violators will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law

Whew! Glad that’s out of the way.
