“ONE”

“ONE” celebrates our human connection, multi-generational bonds and symbolizes a metaphysical link we have to one another across time and space. It represents the power of touch and it’s importance to our well being and belonging. Our memories can imagine a loved one's hand and their unique gestures. In this artwork, some hands appear translucent and distant, some are reaching, touching, connected, some young, some old. We have the ability to create the sensation of touch simply out of our longing for it. We are all interconnected, we are all one.

The original photo encaustic artwork was created to accompany “The Gratitude Collection”, a solo exhibition at The Gallery, LaBelle Winery Derry, NH, in 2021.
