deck chair COLLECTION

Limited Edition Original Giclee Prints

the story...

Do you have that special place you are grateful to go to, where you feel at home and at peace?

Friends own a beautiful home on a lake in central Ontario, Canada, that has been a source of inspiration for me for years.  Their friendship means a lot to me, and I hold it close to my heart.

These images help take me there.

BUTTERFLIES ASCENDING COLLECTION

Limited Edition Original Giclee Prints

the story...

Ever wish you could float about the world like a butterfly, graceful and light?

These butterflies are from an original watercolor for a national carpet design in Canada a few decades ago.  It won second place and was made into a single 6' x 8' carpet in India, by hand, and I see it every day in my home.  The lily leaves are from my gardens, and their sweeping formation made for a good pairing.

GERBERA DAISY COLLECTION

Limited Edition Original Giclee Prints

the story...

Have a favorite flower that cheers you up no matter what?

The Gerbera Daisy is one of those for me.  Friends own a flower shop where I live, and I have the good fortune to see them often. This flower is classic, sophisticated, and absolutely cheerful.  When it's snowing outside my window, they bring a smile and hope of spring.

GRIDS OF CHICAGO COLLECTION

Limited Edition Original Giclee Prints

the story...

Ever look back at photographs of vacations or trips you've taken and see things you didn't before?

A visit to Chicago with my husband inspired this collection. The magnificent architecture is jaw dropping, and perspective from a boat made it even more fun.  Apartment buildings, reflective glass, wrought iron bridges... dissecting the images gave me a greater appreciation for what my eyes didn't see in the moment.

NATURE'S PARALLELS COLLECTION

Limited Edition Original Giclee Prints

the story...

Do you find yourself at times in awe of nature and the beauty in our world?

I took a closer look at photographs I shot in my backyard, and began to see similarities in line and design within some of nature's most basic things.  Technology enables color photographs to be transformed into black and white with one click of a mouse, and when I did that,  the design elements jumped out at me.  I couldn't ignore the parallels.

This collection is inspired by those parallels - in fire, water, and grasses.
